When I launched the site a few weeks ago, I stumbled across a Wordpress design contest hosted by WPWebhost. I decided to toss my hat into the ring and it turns out that out of 58 entries for the “Modern & Elegant” category, I was selected to be one of the ten contestants in the poll.
Since I only have a few readers, and I talk to nearly all of them offline, I doubt I’m going to be able to survive a month of voting. However, the real honor is being selected to be part of the poll, especially since this is only my second attempt at designing a modern website (the GeoCities sites from the 90s don’t count). I’m coasting on such a high right now – it’s quite exhilarating to have an outsider validate your work.
